MITCHELL With over 35 years of professional experience to his credit, Derrick C. Mitchell has cultivated a career of excellence serving in the military. Specializing as an engineer, he has honorably served with the United States Army for much of his career. In 2021, he became the chief of the synchronization division of the United States Army Reserve, having previously maintained a position as an architectural engineer for the Army Corps of Engineers. A natural leader, Mr. Mitchell also previously served as the chief of engineering construction for the Army. As part of his vocational journey, Mr. Mitchell pursued a formal education, earning a master’s degree at Webster University in 2007. He has also remained affiliated with the Lions Clubs International Foundation. Well-regarded for his consummate professionalism and dedication to his work, he was previously honored with a Bronze Star Medal, a Meritorious Honor Award and a NATO Medal for his participation in Kuwait and Operation Desert Storm. Mr. Mitchell attributes much of his success to his grounded foundation, and he looks forward to earning a doctoral degree and serving as a teacher in the coming years. Leveraging over two decades of professional experience, Fuimaono Tavita V. Nuusa has cultivated a career of excellence in law enforcement and military service. Before his recent retirement, he operated as a CID Agent for the United States Army from 2010 to 2022. He initially joined the United States Army Reserve in 1998, working with his local signal and communication office. As part of his active duty, Mr. Nuusa served as a surgical technician for the United States Army from 2003 to 2009. During his time in the field, Mr. Nuusa specialized in protecting dignitaries and working on cases pertaining to larceny, sexual assault, fraud and other crimes. He notably participated in the investigation of Army Staff Sergeant Robert Bales for his actions during the Kandahar massacre in March 2012. Well-regarded for his many accomplishments, Mr. Nuusa has been recognized on numerous occasions for his dedicated service in the United States Army. Attributing much of his success to his humble roots and caring nature, Mr. Nuusa is especially proud to have achieved many successful prosecutions over the course of his career. FUIMAONO TAVITA V.
