Prior to embarking on her vocational journey, Ms. Minor pursued a formal education. She began her studies at Ripon College, where she completed coursework in political science between 1973 and 1974. She subsequently earned a BS in mass communications at Towson University in 1977. Ms. Minor later attended the University of Maryland Global Campus and received a BS in computer science in 1983. Ms. Minor largely attributes her success to her passion for her work. To this end, she is proud to have worked with and enhanced numerous programming systems over the course of her career. She is especially gratified by being honored with awards on several occasions for her work with the Naval Air Systems Command between 1990 and 2012. In the coming years, Ms. Minor looks forward to continuing her work as a small business consultant. Pamela U. Minor leverages over 40 years of practiced expertise as a business owner and entrepreneur. In 2022, she joined the Southern Maryland Minority Chamber of Commerce as the president and chief executive officer, where she promotes the betterment of her community by empowering and supporting small businesses, organizations and individuals seeking more knowledge in their respective industries. Adjacent to her primary duties, Ms. Minor has also operated as a counselor to small businesses and as a procurement specialist for the Maryland Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) since 2017. In 1989, Ms. Minor began her own consulting firm, Pam Minor Consults, where she operated as the president and chief executive officer until 2012. After a brief period away from the business, she returned in 2018 to serve as the independent owner of the company. As part of her duties within the company, she has also worked as a counselor for the Veteran Administration Center for Verification and Evaluation since 2019. Ms. Minor originally began her career as a software developer for DataServe between 1979 and 1980, and she has utilized her unique skill set in PAMELA U.
