Attributing much of his success to his unique skill set and abilities as a decisive decision-maker, he is especially proud of his efforts in improving Army offices with new computerization and technology. Some of his projects included spearheading the establishment of worldwide policies and procedures to acquire microcomputers for the Army, providing leadership during digitization of the U.S. Army, as well as developing and implementing a new systems architecture during the Taiwanese military modernization. Being a part of the transition from a manual command and control system to Army tactical digitization was a highlight of his career, and this also provided him with an opportunity to associate with some truly professional individuals, all of whom were striving to implement a vision and make an impact by fulfilling and improving the Army’s mission. Outside of his primary professional endeavors, Mr. Christensen participated in a two-year mission in Australia for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. In the coming years, Mr. Christensen aspires to serve as a mentor and trainer for younger generations seeking to work within various consulting fields. in Electrical Engineering Technology, cum laude, in 1975. Afterward, he continued his studies at the University of Arizona and achieved a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering in data communications in 1981. Mr. Christensen was especially proud to help the armed forces as he is a veteran himself, having served in the U.S. Army from 1968 until 1988. In that period, he was a decorated officer, serving initially as a non-commissioned officer, then as a warrant officer, and finally as a commissioned officer, retiring as a Major. For his distinguished service, he was honored with several commendations, including a Legion of Merit, three Meritorious Service Medals, and four Army Commendation Medals as well as other awards and decorations. He also received two letters of recognition from the President of the United States for his innovative engineering solutions for critical military equipment problems. Mr. Christensen also remains affiliated with Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). For his dedicated work within MITRE, he received multiple awards from MITRE, including a General Managers Award for Excellence, three Program Recognition Awards, three Director Distinguished Accomplishment Awards, two Director Awards and three Special Recognition
