Having previously served in the bridal industry as a consultant for 16 years, she pivoted her focus to becoming a designer in 2005 when she founded her own company, Designs With You In Mind, Inc. Today, she continues to operate as the owner and lead interior designer of her company. Based in Granite Bay, California, Ms. Tonks’ business is well-regarded for providing customers with the highest-quality interior design services, including space planning, construction, furnishing and styling. Outside of Granite Bay, the company also serves the Rocklin, El Dorado Hills and the Greater Sacramento areas. As the head of her company, Ms. Tonks manages her team and helps to create spaces that truly reflect the best in her clients. As part of her ongoing dedication to her profession, Ms. Tonks maintains affiliation with the National Kitchen and Bath Association and The National Association of the Remodeling Industry. Furthermore, she previously pursued a formal education at American River College, where she earned an Associate of Arts in interior design. To commemorate her accomplishments in the field, Ms. Tonks has been honored with several accolades over the course of her career, including a Master Suite Award. She also won a design competition hosted by the Home and Garden Show. In light of her fulfilling career, Ms. Tonks has largely attributed her success to her passion for her profession, as well as her talent as a designer. Having worked in the bridal industry for many years, she naturally acquired a knack for designing and working with fabrics, which helped her transition into the field of interior design. Looking toward the future, Ms. Tonks hopes to continue growing her business so that she may eventually sell it and happily retire.
