Previously, she assisted the Alliance of Therapy Dogs as a therapy team member from 2015 to 2017. Attributing much of her success to her drive and desire for perfection, Ms. Maxson is especially proud to have been recognized in the Top 20 Under 40 list in Edmond, Oklahoma, having graduated from the Leadership Edmond Program. Additionally, she is proud of all her efforts as a mother, having raised two wonderful daughters. Looking toward the future, Ms. Maxson hopes to become a department manager at New Fire Native Design Group, in addition to earning further certifications in her field. With over a decade of professional experience to her credit, Kathryn Maxson is a proven expert in the field of architecture. In 2022, she joined New Fire Native Design Group, one of Oklahoma’s largest and longestlived architecture and engineering firms. The native-owned company is an affiliate of FSB Architects & Engineers, where Ms. Maxson previously worked for five years. In her current role as a project architect, she oversees various projects and teams of fellow architects and engineers. Prior to her current appointment, Ms. Maxson began her career as an architectural intern for Elliott Architects from 2014 to 2017. She was also a substitute teacher at Luther High School in 2014. Prior to embarking on her vocational journey, Ms. Maxson pursued a formal education at Oklahoma State University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture in 2013. Adjacent to her primary professional duties, Ms. Maxson also serves as an adoption event coordinator for the Cimarron Valley Humane KATHRYN MAXSON PROJECT ARCHITECT New Fire Native Design Group Oklahoma City, OK
