Prior to his retirement in 2020, he excelled as a manufacturing engineer for Quincy Compressor, serving with the company beginning in 1981. The business is well-regarded for its dedication to producing and servicing industrial equipment such as air and gas compressors, air dryers, vacuum pumps and cooling systems. Mr. Fardon originally began his career in 1967 in his homeland of England, working as a service technician for PTG Holroyd until 1981. Before retiring, he worked with Kaishan USA, an air compressor manufacturing company, between 2018 and 2020. Mr. Fardon was inspired to pursue a career in engineering by his father, who previously thrived as a mechanical engineer. Over the course of his career, Mr. Fardon found much to enjoy in the field, as he committed himself to a fond working environment alongside his colleagues. During his time with Quincy Compressor, he notably served as a machine tool shop supervisor before growing more involved in manufacturing, drafting and budgeting work. As part of his vocational journey, Mr. Fardon earned a certification in mechanical engineering from City and Guilds in England in 1972. In light of his fulfilling career, Mr. Fardon has largely attributed his success to his extensive training and union experience. In accounting for his achievements, he is especially proud of his work with PTG Holroyd, having initially joined the company after being selected as one of 22 individuals for their apprenticeship program, which allowed him to travel the world for the company, installing and repairing machines.
