Since 2017, she has served as the head chef and owner of Flavors of Morocco. Located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, the restaurant is well-regarded for providing customers with high-quality food and a genuine Moroccan atmosphere. Dr. Fakier is proud to offer her diners a personalized experience with memorable food and unique displays of cooking. Additionally, she is proud to host events such as Moroccan weddings at her establishment. Her ambition to start her business was driven by her love for her country and culture. Prior to beginning her latest restaurant venture, Dr. Fakier was the owner of The Royal Tagine. She formerly served as a manager for the Department of Human Resources, part of the Ministry of the Interior of Morocco, for 12 years, and she is a founding member of Argana, a local Moroccan association for women. She also previously pursued a formal education, achieving a doctorate in physics at UCA Marrakech in 1997. To commemorate her accomplishments, she was recently named Woman Entrepreneur of the Year in 2023. CHEF, OWNER Flavors of Morocco Lancaster, PA Joshua B. Fowler is a rising business leader, having recently taken on the ownership of Alabama Stackers in 2022. Located in Jasper, Alabama, the dine-in and drive-through restaurant is well-regarded in the community for its selection of delicious burgers and other comfort foods, such as milkshakes and hot dogs. As the owner of the restaurant, Mr. Fowler oversees all daily operations, including food preparation, recipe development and financial management. To remain abreast of crucial developments in his industry and community, Mr. Jackson remains affiliated with the Walker County Chamber of Commerce. He also serves his community as a civicminded citizen, regularly volunteering with local women’s shelters, supporting initiatives to help the homeless population, and sponsoring city and community events. In light of Mr. Jackson’s accomplishments, his restaurant was featured in 78 Magazine and named Best Burger in Walker County by Daily Mountain Eagle in 2022. He largely attributes his success to his determination and dedicated work ethic. Looking toward the future, Mr. Jackson hopes to continue expanding his business by acquiring new equipment and building a mobile kitchen for local events and festivals.
