196 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine HEALTH AND WELLNESS BOB HENRY FREY, PHD, EDD BOARD CERTIFIED ADDICTIONS COUNSELOR (RETIRED) Rossville, GA Bolstered by several decades of experience, Dr. Bob Henry Frey has cultivated a career of excellence as a mental health counselor and educator. Now retired, he previously specialized in psychotherapy and brief solution-focused therapy (BSFT), having served as a substance use disorder certified counselor (SUDCC-IV) for 20 years and managed his own private practice in Rossville, Georgia. An expert in the field, Dr. Frey focused on assisting and healing those with depression and other mental health concerns, as well as specialized in substance abuse disorders, psychotherapy and solution- focused brief therapy. Adjacent to his endeavors as a counselor, Dr. Frey also served as the chief of police for the Hagan Police Department in Hagan, Georgia, for two years, having served 22 years in total in the field of law enforcement at various police agencies. In his academic ventures, he taught as an elementary and high school teacher for five years, teaching reading, writing, arithmetic, history and science during that time. Dr. Frey later excelled as a professor at Newport University in California for 21 years, where he taught education psychology, behavioral science, religion, counseling and sociology courses. Prior to embarking on his vocational journey, Dr. Frey served in the United States Army for seven years. He subsequently began his pursuit of a higher education, beginning with his time at the Immanuel Baptist College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in religious education in 1976. Continuing his studies throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Dr. Frey went on to achieve several doctoral degrees, including a Doctor of Religious Education from Immanuel Baptist College, a Doctor of Bible Philosophy from International Seminary in Plymouth, Florida, a PhD in sociology from Columbia Pacific University, a PhD in Christian counseling from the American Christian College and Seminary, and a Doctor of Education in counseling and administration from the Immanuel Baptist College.
