In addition to her academic credentials, Dr. Lodato is certified through the University of Tennessee in pain management and canine physical rehabilitation. As part of her commitment to animal health and civic advocacy, Dr. Lodato serves her community by working with local animal rescue shelters, groups and humane societies. In light of her fulfilling career, she has largely attributed her success to her drive to improve and her attitude as a perfectionist. Likewise, in accounting for her accomplishments, Dr. Lodato is particularly proud to have started her own veterinary practice, which she looks forward to expanding in the coming years. With more than a decade of professional experience to her credit, Dr. Dena Lynn Lodato is a rising leader in the field of veterinary surgery. Since 2021, she has served as a small animal surgeon at Resurge Veterinary Surgical Specialists and Rehabilitation in Covington, Louisiana, where she specializes in stifle disease, fracture and pain management, neurosurgery, and regenerative and rehabilitative medicine. As an expert in her profession, Dr. Lodato provides a variety of consultation services and treatment options for animal patients in addition to her primary surgical duties. Dr. Lodato has further excelled as a surgeon in the Gulf Coast region since 2010. To this end, she served as the head of her own surgical department in 2014 at the Animal Emergency and Referral Center, and she worked with the Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in 2013.
