Adjacent to his primary duties, Dr. Obioha has also operated as a primary care physician with the Universal Multi Specialty Medical Group in Ontario, California, since 2019. Dr. Obioha also co-founded The Onyima & Adure Obioha Family Foundation alongside his siblings in the 1990s. The organization funds educational programs and other financial needs for struggling communities and other members of larger Obioha families in his homeland of Nigeria. The foundation was named in honor of his parents, who served as pioneering educators in the country during the 1940s. Dr. Obioha originally began his career in 1984, working with Howard University Hospital in emergency medicine until 1986. Since then, in addition to his duties as a doctor, he has worked extensively as an educator, offering his skills and knowledge to medical students at institutions such as the Western University of Health Sciences, the University of Southern California and the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Prior to beginning his career, Dr. Obioha pursued his own formal education, earning an MD at the University of Nigeria College of Medicine in 1979. After migrating to the United States in 1980, he completed several residency programs in internal and emergency medicine at Howard University Hospital, before later becoming a full-time staff member. In light of his fulfilling career, Dr. Obioha attributes much of his success to his nature as a competitive perfectionist. In accounting for his accomplishments, he is especially proud of his extensive charitable work. In the coming years, Dr. Obioha hopes to connect with more nonprofit organizations to further promote preventative medicine services. Drawing upon nearly four decades of professional experience, Dr. Udoh O. Obioha is a leader in the health care industry. Specializing in nutrition and internal, geriatric and preventative medicine, he has served as the medical director and professor of medicine at Corrective Care Ministry, Inc., since 2012.
