Mr. Plutchak has also dedicated himself to the field of education, having worked with the University of Southern California as a senior scientist from 1972 to 1976. Mr. Plutchak previously pursued a formal education, earning a Bachelor of Science in geology with minors in geophysics, mathematics and philosophy at the University of Wisconsin in 1961. He subsequently continued his studies and completed coursework toward a Master of Science at Florida State University from 1961 to 1964. He also completed coursework toward a PhD in oceanic physics at Oregon State University from 1969 to 1973. During this time, Mr. Plutchak found some of his earliest work in his field, serving as a research assistant to Dr. Takashi Ichiye at the Lamont Observatory of Columbia University from 1963 to 1966. In addition to his professional experience, Mr. Plutchak honorably served in the United States Air Force for several years prior to beginning his collegiate studies. Well-regarded for his dedication to his profession, he was later inducted into Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society. In light of his fulfilling career, he has largely attributed his success to his colleagues and peers within his field, from whom he has learned a great deal. Mr. Plutchak has also drawn motivation from his desire to be productive and helpful to society at large. With six decades of professional experience to his credit, Noel Plutchak has cultivated a career of excellence in the field of science. Specializing as an atmospheric and oceanic physicist, he has served as an independent consultant in the state of California since 1992.
