Mr. Kellogg was appointed as a board member of the Local Selective Service Board that included Rensselaer County, New York, and while in this role, he remained active in various governmental affairs. He was elected to a position in municipal government. He was also registrar of the Saratoga Springs History Museum in New York. Mr. Kellogg continues to remain active as a life member of American Mensa, having previously served as the president of Mensa of Northeastern New York. Well-regarded for his accomplishments, he was honored with a Gold Torch Award for Exemplary Service at the international level by the International Association of Torch Clubs. While he is especially proud of all his professional achievements, Mr. Kellogg is most thankful to have his wonderful wife, daughter, son and daughter-in-law in his life. With over three decades of professional experience, Leo A. Kellogg has cultivated a career of excellence in public administration. Though he is presently retired from full-time work, he continued to specialize in public service and international nonprofit organizations in various capacities and as former director-at-large in the International Association of Torch Clubs, as lifetime member and former trustee of the Torch Foundation, and as a life member of Intertel, an international organization in multiple countries. Furthermore, Mr. Kellogg is a member of Opera Saratoga, where he partakes in the enjoyment and performance of operatic music. Prior to embarking on his vocational journey, Mr. Kellogg voluntarily joined and honorably served in the United States Army for three years in the Counterintelligence Corps. He subsequently began his career in public administration in New York State. He pursued additional formal education, earning a master’s degree at Rockefeller College of the State University of New York in 1966. He is also a life member of AMVETS, an American veterans’ organization. In other civic-minded endeavors, Mr. Kellogg previously served as the director of personnel in the Office of General Services, the agency involved in designing and re-designing infrastructure and state buildings throughout LEO A.
