After becoming Kentucky’s youngest newspaper editor, he honorably served in the United States Army, participating in command and counterterrorism missions. He then pursued his interests in media management, teaching, entrepreneurship and civil service, founding Foresee Now, a Preston Global Extension, in 1968. Focusing on business dilemma avoidance, response and resolution, Mr. Preston focuses on vulnerability assessments, violence intervention, reputation attacks and communication strategies. Mr. Preston also provides independent reviews of C-suite intentions. Two governors and one U.S. senator appointed him as their senior advisor, and he formerly led Kentucky’s Homeland Security Office. Accredited by the International Association of Counterterrorism and Security Professionals, he was elected to the Public Relations Society of America’s College of Fellows. In 2009, the U.S. Army War College invited him to its National Security program. Among his many accolades, he was inducted into his alma mater’s Hall of Distinguished Alumni in 2021. Specializing in women’s beauty to enhance the appearance of the individual, she served as a traditional hairstylist in New Hampshire for 19 years before relocating to Texas, where she joined the team of highly accomplished alternative hair professionals at Parker Serenity Wig and Salon in Austin. Relocating back to New Hampshire in 2017, Ms. Pruett created and founded A Beautiful You in 2018. Her alternative hair boutique offers a variety of alternative hair options, as well as a warm, welcoming, private and compassionate atmosphere. She feels that all women are beautiful and deserve to feel beautiful, no matter what circumstances they may face. As part of her vocational journey, Ms. Pruett pursued an education, studying business. She continued her studies at the Concord Academy of Hair Design in 1994. Adjacent to her primary endeavors, Pruett also remains a civic-minded citizen, as she works on developing A Beautiful You Foundation to give back, in honor of a client who passed away.
