To commemorate her accomplishments, Dr. Morel has been honored with several accolades over the course of her career, including an AWBW Impact Community Award from A Window Between Worlds in 2017. In light of her fulfilling career, she attributes much of her success to her deep understanding and intimate knowledge of trauma and how it affects individuals. Dr. Morel has found a wealth of fulfillment in playing a role in the healing process for her countless clients. Dr. Lin Morel draws upon nearly five decades of experience as a proven leader in the field of mental health care and leadership consultation. Specializing in trauma healing, domestic violence intervention, spiritual psychology, stress release and the grief loss spectrum, she is the founder and chief executive officer of Beyond Words Group, Inc. (formerly Lin Morel & Associates), which she originally began in 1984. As a leader within her organization, she offers clients, especially veterans dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder, a variety of mental health and emotional healing services. Adjacent to her primary endeavors, Dr. Morel also remains active as a karate and Tai chi expert, having studied martial arts since 1965. Notably, she earned a fifth-degree black belt and won several national karate championships. Furthermore, she was trained in Tai chi energy healing at Beijing University in 1984 and at the Tai Chi Institute of Taiwan between 1984 and 1985. Dr. Morel has also completed a wide range of academic studies, having ultimately achieved a doctorate in spiritual science at the Peace Theological Seminary in 2001.
