217 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine HEALTH AND WELLNESS Leveraging over 40 years of professional experience, Dr. Carole M. Chesin is a proven expert in the health care industry. Since 2002, she has served as a physician at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), where she specializes in obstetrics and gynecology. She is a certified obstetrician and gynecologist, having been formally recognized for her expertise by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Inc. As part of her duties in the field, Dr. Chesin primarily operates with UPMC Womancare Associates, providing her services to all those in need. Prior to her current appointments, Dr. Chesin worked as a clinical assistant professor in the department of obstetrics, gynecology and reproductive sciences at the University of Pittsburgh for several years. She also managed her own private practice for 10 years and offered her skills to the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association for five years. As part of her dedication to her profession, Dr. Chesin also remains active as a fellow with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Before embarking on her vocational journey, Dr. Chesin pursued a formal education. After earning a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s degree in special education, she ultimately achieved an MD at the University of Pennsylvania Health System in 1972. She later completed her residency in the field of medicine at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital, as part of the UPMC system. Adjacent to her primary professional interests, Dr. Chesin also remains active as a civic-minded citizen in her community, serving as a member of the board of directors of her local women’s shelter for abused women and families. Well-regarded for her professional accomplishments as well, she was previously named among the Top Obstetricians and Gynecologists by UPMC. Attributing much of her success to her dedication to her practice, Dr. Chesin is particularly proud of her ability to establish personal connections with her community and patients.
