218 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine HEALTH AND WELLNESS Leveraging nearly 20 years of professional experience, Dr. Ashley M. Collins has cultivated a career of excellence in dentistry. Since 2019, she has served as the owner and lead dentist at Collins Family Dentistry in Denver, North Carolina, where she specializes in general, family, cosmetic and restorative dentistry. She originally joined the business in 2005 as a dentist and became a partner of the company in 2009. Having studied and trained with the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, where she maintains her status as a diplomate, Dr. Collins is also well-regarded as a “Qualified Sleep Dentist.” Before embarking on her vocational journey, Dr. Collins pursued higher education, beginning with her time at Lenoir-Rhyne University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in biology, summa cum laude, in 2000. She subsequently continued her studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s School of Dentistry and achieved a DDS, with honors, in 2005. Following her collegiate studies, Dr. Collins completed her residency in dental sleep medicine at the University of North Carolina. As part of her dedication to her profession, Dr. Collins also remains affiliated with the American Dental Association and the North Carolina Dental Society. To commemorate her accomplishments in the field, she was honored with a Stegall Leadership Award in 2000. Outside of her primary vocation, she also continues to serve her community as a civic-minded citizen by participating as a member of her local First Baptist Church. In light of her fulfilling career, Dr. Collins largely attributes her success to the love and support of her family and her faith. In accounting for her achievements, she is especially proud to have established her practice as a trustworthy and welcoming environment, where she treats all of her patients and staff like family.
