Prior to beginning his career, Mr. Moores attended the University of Delaware, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in biology in 1971 and a master’s degree in counseling in 1984. In addition to his academic credentials, he has been recognized as a licensed professional counselor for mental health (LPC-MH), and he was certified in his profession by the Institute for Rational Emotive Therapy in 1974. Mr. Moores has been formally recognized by the state of Delaware in celebration of his accomplishments in the field. In light of his fulfilling career, he largely attributes his success to his skills as a public speaker and his ability to share information with others. Looking toward the future, Mr. Moores is considering taking on a role as a teacher in his profession. With nearly five decades of professional experience to his credit, Stephen Moores has cultivated a career of excellence in the field of therapy. Since 1998, he has served as a cognitive behavioral therapist for Delaware Guidance Services, and from 1998 to 2008, at the Rockford Center, specializing in in-patient programs and providing consultations for fellow professionals in his industry. Furthermore, he managed his own private therapy practice in Newark from 1984 to 2002. He now works in private practice in association with S. Gupta, MD. Adjacent to his primary duties, Mr. Moores previously worked as a consultant for the University of Delaware. As part of his commitment to his profession, he maintains his membership with the Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselors Association.
