Morales, RN, is a distinguished expert in the field of health care who has been serving the Ryder Trauma Center/ Jackson South within the Jackson Health System since 2022. Excelling as a trauma program manager since that time, her responsibilities include developing, implementing and maintaining a cost-effective care system, as well as developing various policies and medical procedures, among other roles. Earlier, Ms. Morales served as a corporate clinical care/trauma educator for the Jackson Health System and worked in the trauma and burn intensive care units at the Ryder Trauma Center. She also served in trauma care at the University of Maryland Medical Center’s Shock Trauma Center, which honored her with the Daisy Award for her exceptional achievements in trauma care in 2016. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Miami Dade College and completed coursework in trauma nursing. She is certified in advanced cardiovascular life support and advanced burn life support and is a basic life support instructor. To remain abreast of changes in her field, Ms. Morales is a member of several organizations, such as the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, the Society of Trauma Nurses and the Association of Florida Trauma Coordinators. In light of her outstanding feats, she has been bestowed with a myriad of accolades, including the TICU Best Nurse-Physician Relationship Award in 2015 and the TICU Nurse of the Year Award in 2011. Additionally, she was nominated for the Preceptor of the Year Award in 2021. Among her many career highlights, however, she is particularly proud of her work as a trauma care nurse, having enjoyed being an influential force in her patients’ lives during critical points of their recovery. In the coming years, Ms. Morales intends to witness the continued growth and success of her career.
