Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Saraceni excelled at Laboratory Sciences of Arizona, as part of Sonora Quest Laboratories, working as an administrative laboratory director from 2007 to 2015 and later as a senior administrative laboratory director until 2021. Before beginning his vocational journey, Mr. Saraceni pursued a formal education at New York University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry in 1980. He subsequently continued his studies at Georgetown University and earned a Master of Science in organic photochemistry in 1983. Afterward, Mr. Saraceni joined the United States Air Force, serving with the military branch from 1984 to 2005 and achieving the rank of lieutenant colonel. During his service, he furthered his education at Bowling Green State University, where he earned a Master of Science in biology and biological sciences in 1992. After beginning his professional career, Mr. Saraceni later achieved an MBA at Arizona State University in 2017. As part of his dedication to his profession, Mr. Saraceni remains affiliated with several industryrelated organizations, including the American Society for Quality, the American Society for Clinical Pathology and the Air Force Association. He also formerly served as a volunteer with the American Heart Association, Inc., during his time in Tucson, Arizona. Having always felt compelled to help others, he naturally gravitated toward a career in the health care industry. In light of his fulfilling career, Mr. Saraceni is particularly proud of his service on September 11, 2001, during which time he operated as the chief of the Air Force Blood Program, which provided critical aid to those in need. Fabrizio Saraceni has cultivated an accomplished career as a leader in the health care industry. Since 2021, he has served as the director of pathology and laboratory medicine at UC Davis Health, where he oversees a wealth of medical research and tests.
