He received his BS in biological sciences from Hampton University, and he later achieved a DDS and completed his orthodontic residency at the Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, DC. Dr. Bushrod was notably featured in a spotlight series from the PUSH Global Alliance in 2021, in which he shared his personal challenges and successes faced as a dentist with the hope of encouraging and inspiring others. Dr. Bushrod’s cultural humility and core principles motivate him to volunteer and engage with the Christian Dental Society. Additionally, he is an active member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontics and the Beta Kappa Chi Honor Society. Specializing in gastrointestinal cancer, she has served as the associate administrator of nursing at Keck Medicine of USC in Los Angeles, California, since 2009. As a leader and educator in her field, she also served as a clinical instructor for population health at California State University from 2018 to 2021. Dr. Casagrande originally began her career in 1989, working as a staff registered nurse at Kaiser Permanente until 1991. As part of her career, Dr. Casagrande pursued a higher education, ultimately earning a DNP at Fullerton College in 2018. Additionally, she remains active within several industry-related organizations, including the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses. Well-regarded for her professional and civic accomplishments, Dr. Casagrande has been honored with several accolades over the course of her career, including most being named Nurse Mentor of the Year by Nurses of USC in 2022.
