MURTHY, MD Leveraging several decades of professional experience, Dr. Bhamidipati V.R. Murthy has cultivated a career of excellence as a medical educator. Specializing in transplant nephrology, he has served as a professor of medicine and surgery at the Baylor College of Medicine since 2011. Over the course of his career, Dr. Murthy has also worked with organizations such as the American Society of Transplantation, the National Kidney Foundation and the Indian Society of Nephrology. Originally from Guntur, India, Dr. Murthy achieved an MD at the Maulana Azad Medical College, as part of the University of Delhi, in 1978. He subsequently received advanced training in his field at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research, Chandigarh. After immigrating to the United States, he continued training with several medical centers in New England and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Well-regarded for his practiced expertise, Dr. Murthy served as an editor for the 2021 book, “Issues in Kidney Disease: Transplantation.” Attributing much of his success to the support and encouragement from his wife and family, he is especially proud of all his professional contributions to the field of medicine. Dr. Elizabeth Marie Pepe leverages over three decades of professional experience in the health care industry. Since 2007, she has served as a freelance family and urgent care physician, working with various agencies through her own brand, Pepe Medical Associates, in Indian Harbour Beach, Florida. She was previously the president of The Centre for Family Medicine and Wellness in Indialantic, Florida, from 2001 to 2011. Dr. Pepe originally began her career in 1989, serving as the president of East Coast Health Care, Inc., until 1997. Dr. Pepe honorably served in the United States Army from 1986 to 1995, achieving the rank of captain prior to retiring. Prior to her service, she pursued a formal education, ultimately earning a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University in 1986. She also holds several certifications pertinent to her field, including as a hyperbaric chamber medical officer and in family medical practice. Adjacent to her primary duties in the field, Dr. Pepe currently remains active as a civic-minded citizen, volunteering with various United States veterans’ relief organizations.
