Plantation, FL MARILYN L. WEITZEL, PHD Having accrued over five decades of professional experience, Dr. Marilyn L. Weitzel is a proven expert in the field of education. Specializing in nursing academics, she formerly served as an assistant professor of nursing at Indiana Wesleyan University, having joined the institution in 2009 and retiring from her position in 2022. She previously maintained a similar role at Cleveland State University from 2004 to 2011, having also taught at the university from 1994 to 1997. Dr. Weitzel also offered her skills as an educator and nurse to the Akron School of Practical Nursing from 1980 to 1994 and the Children’s Hospital Medical Center of Akron, Ohio, from 1969 to 1980. Since beginning her career in 1967, Dr. Weitzel has also worked alongside various industry-related organizations, including the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses and the Ohio Association Practical Nurse Educators. As part of her vocational journey, she also cultivated her own formal education, ultimately earning a PhD at the University of South Alabama in 2003. Furthermore, Dr. Weitzel remains active within the Ohio League for Nursing and the Nursing Education Mobility Action Group of Northeast Ohio. Leveraging over 35 years of professional experience, Ramona Perez Korba Wilson is a proven expert in the field of medicine. Since 2014, she has thrived as the chief executive officer of MRJ Medical, Inc., where she also serves as a registered nurse specializing in pediatric, trauma and in-home patient care. Ms. Wilson previously worked as a certified registered nurse for The American National Red Cross from 1990 to 2016. Adjacent to her primary duties, Ms. Wilson remains active as a civicminded citizen, regularly participating in local fundraising events for children with disabilities and donating to organizations such as the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. As part of her vocational journey, she pursued a formal education, earning an AAS at Broward College. Additionally, she holds certifications as both a core unit nurse and an IV nurse. Well-regarded for her myriad of accomplishments, Ms. Wilson was named One of the Best Nurses in the State of Florida.
