Outside of her primary professional duties, Ms. Cobb has thrived in her local sports community, coaching the National Women’s Basketball Alliance in 1999 and the girls’ basketball team at Mother Mary Mission, Inc., from 1981 to 1983. She also remains active as a civic-minded citizen, having founded the Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Walk of Faith in her community in 2012. Furthermore, Ms. Cobb continues to volunteer with and support other charitable organizations, such as Tree of Life Healthcare and the West Central Georgia Cancer Coalition. Ms. Cobb previously cultivated a formal education at the Chattahoochee Valley Community College, earning an associate degree in liberal arts in 1984. The school recently inducted her into its Hall of Fame in 2022. Furthermore, she was inducted into the Mother Mary Mission, Inc., Sports Hall of Fame in 2019 and the Hall of Fame of her local Catholic school in 2020. Well-regarded for her professional and academic accomplishments in the field, Ms. Cobb has been honored with several other accolades over the course of her career, including a nomination for the Legacy Sports Award in 2022. She also serves on the Athletic Board for Girls, Inc. In light of her fulfilling career, Ms. Cobb largely attributes her success to her three guiding principles of preparation, perseverance and prayer. These principles have served as the premise of several keynote speeches that she has delivered for churches and schools in the region. In accounting for her achievements, she is particularly proud to have been inducted into three halls of fame. In the coming years, Ms. Cobb hopes to construct a complex for sports groups and health care rehabilitation.
