Outside of her primary profession, Dr. Persaud remains active as a donor for the GBS/CIDP Foundation International. She also spends her extra time on extracurricular activities with her kids. Bolstered by nearly a decade of professional experience, Dr. Sariah Ramoutar Persaud is a rising expert in the health care industry. Since 2021, she has operated as the executive director of clinical operations and research at Applied Therapeutics in New York. The biopharmaceutical company specializes in creating new treatments for all manner of patients with unmet medical needs. In her current position, Dr. Persaud is responsible for overseeing the operational planning and execution of safe and effective clinical trials for new drugs, in addition to other various administrative tasks. Dr. Persaud previously served as the senior manager and clinical study lead at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc., in Tarrytown, New York, between 2020 and 2021. She was also a director of clinical research for orthopedic surgery at Northwell Health in Lake Success, New York, from 2019 to 2021 and a consultant for various companies between 2019 and 2020. Dr. Persaud originally began her career in 2013, working as a clinical research coordinator for the Long Island Brain Tumor Center with Neurological Surgery P.C. until 2015.
