Arkley has cultivated a career of excellence in the field of education. He previously taught as a professor of management at the University of Illinois at Springfield from 1977 to 2001. Since retiring, he has maintained the honorary title of professor emeritus of management at the institution. In his other endeavors as an educator, Dr. Arkley previously designed management training programs for the Federal Aviation Administration and the Department of Transportation in Illinois. He also taught African history in Sierra Leone, West Africa, for two years. As part of his vocational journey, Dr. Arkley pursued his own formal education. Having previously earned two master’s degrees, he achieved a PhD in political science at Michigan State University in 1975. Additionally, he is well-regarded for his scholarly output, having authored several noteworthy papers pertaining to management and African studies. Attributing much of his success to his desire to make the world a better place, Dr. Arkley is especially proud of his accomplishments as a management trainer. PROFESSOR EMERITUS OF MANAGEMENT University of Illinois at Springfield Springfield, IL John Patrick Bobek leverages more than 50 years of professional experience in the field of academics. Since 1973, he has served as a junior high school teacher at St. Daniel the Prophet School in Chicago, Illinois. As a teacher of seventh- and eighth-grade students, he specializes in a variety of subjects, including earth science, biology, religion, history, English and reading. Adjacent to his primary duties as an educator, Mr. Bobek also serves as a flag football coach for his school. Furthermore, he is a Region 2 judging coordinator and former president of the Illinois Junior Academy of Science. Prior to embarking on his vocational journey, Mr. Bobek cultivated his own higher education, achieving a bachelor’s degree in teaching and sociology at the University of Illinois, Chicago in 1971. He subsequently served as a teacher for the Archdiocese of Chicago from 1971 to 2011. Outside of his professional accomplishments, Mr. Bobek is also well-regarded for his creative output, having authored the 2007 book, “The Games of War: A Treasury of Rules for Battles with Toy Soldiers, Ships and Planes.” Looking ahead, he intends to witness the continued success of his career.
