50 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ARTS, MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT June Blumberg has led a distinguished career across numerous fields of interest. A prolific artist and acclaimed scientist, she previously served as a statistical clerk and a research scientist for many years before delving into her career as an artist on a full-time basis. She first received an associate degree in clinical laboratory technology from a local community college in 2000 after attending the Moore College of Art and Design. In 1991, she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts in painting. Now recognized for her artistic prowess, Ms. Blumberg is thankful for her past professional experience in the sciences. She advises that her most notable accomplishment has been her efforts and contributions to reducing violence and researching the effects of gun control in the United States. Focusing much of her attention on gun control legislation while working in the science industry, Ms. Blumberg has since transitioned her attention to her art. To this end, she is proud of her art exhibits and her science ideas, which have been used in behavioral therapy, microbiology and blood transfusions. Ms. Blumberg attributes a great deal of her success to her extensive education. She also credits her natural interest in reading books and her diligent work ethic as factors leading to her present success, as well as the positive influence of her mentor, Richard Merkin. When asked for advice to provide to aspiring artists and scientists, Ms. Blumberg says that hard work and exhibiting a positive attitude toward others are two values that will help them flourish in their ambitions. Looking toward the future, Ms. Blumberg intends to exhibit her artwork in more museums and art shows. She would also like to lend her expertise to violence prevention in the coming years.
