97 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine EDUCATION Continuing his education, he achieved a Master of Science in computer and communication sciences from the University of Michigan in 1975 and a Doctor of Business Administration from Harvard University in 1984. As a testament to his success, Dr. Linowes was honored with a Fulbright Fellowship for Pedagogical Innovation in New Zealand in 1989. Later, in 1994, he was invited to extend the Baldrige National Quality Award to Education. Reflecting on his illustrious career, Dr. Linowes cites the highlight of his career to be his participation in the inaugural meeting of the Kogod Alumni Network of Greater New York, as well as his extensive travels working with companies and former students around the world. Today, he is professionally tied to the Academy of Management and the Association of Japanese Business Studies. Notably, In September of 2022, Dr. Linowes was contacted by a former student, HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, who is a member of the Bahrain royal family. Sheikh Khalifa put into reality the English University of Bahrain, an idea he had while he was in Dr. Linowes’ class. Several of his students have followed suit, expressing interest in creating schools of their own. Now, Sheikh Khalifa is the president of the Court of HRH the Crown Prince, having formerly served as the director of the investment department at the Pension Fund Commission. Since graduating from Dr. Linowes’ tutelage, he has garnered over 20 years of professional experience in the government, diplomatic and investment sectors. Dr. Linowes says his job is to build enlightened leaders, and Sheikh Khalifa was a wonderful student. In his spare time, Dr. Linowes enjoys landscaping, photography, singing and traveling.
