145 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ENTREPRENEURS With two decades of professional experience to her credit, Mary Kay DeBenedetti is a proven expert in the fields of nursing and accounting. For 17 years, she operated as a pediatric nurse, specializing in patient care and often providing her services at local concert and show venues. For the past 20 years, she has operated with F.H. Steinbart Co., a local homebrew supplies store that her late husband, John DeBenedetti, ran for the same 20 years. Since Mr. DeBenedetti’s passing in 2021, Ms. DeBenedetti has served as the company’s president and owner, managing the business’ accounts, selling various brewing supplies and ensuring customer satisfaction. Ms. DeBenedetti organizes her business much like a family operation, treating each of her employees and customers like family. Adjacent to her primary professional endeavors, she has also worked alongside the Urban Tour Group since 1997. Furthermore, she is a co-founding member of the Vancouver Lake Sailing Club. As part of her vocational journey, Ms. DeBenedetti pursued a formal education, earning a bachelor’s degree at the University of Portland. In light of her fulfilling career, Ms. DeBenedetti largely attributes her success to the loyalty of her customers. To this end, her company’s ability to tirelessly serve its customers is perhaps its most important asset, and she is glad to be able to continue that legacy. F.H. Steinbart Co. has been in her family for nearly 100 years, with her father-in-law and his cousin purchasing the business from the family of the founder, Franz Steinbart, in 1934 following his death. In accounting for her myriad of accomplishments, Ms. DeBenedetti is especially proud to have raised her five children, which helped her thrive in the field of pediatric nursing.
