Over the course of his career, he has cultivated a wealth of practiced expertise in the field of audit, tax, IT, estate planning, and accounting for private equity, hedge funds, foreign exchange, fixed income, special purposes vehicles, property investments, and maintained banking, broker and investor relationships. Since 2008, Mr. Balmann has excelled as a managing partner for Pinnacle Management Services LLC. The company is wellregarded for providing high-quality family office accounting, consulting and tax services. Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Balmann worked extensively with Rho Capital Partners. During his time with the investment and venture capital firm, he served as the vice president of finance from 1996 to 2008. He originally joined the company in 1992 as a controller in New York City. Additionally, he was also a senior accountant at EisnerAmper (formally known as Richard A. Eisner & Co.) from 1988 to 1992. Mr. Balmann initially began his career in 1986, operating as a staff member of Robert Siegel’s accounting firm in Staten Island, New York, until 1988 while attending Pace University. As part of his dedication to his profession, Mr. Balmann remains active as a member of several industry-related organizations, including the Private Equity CFO Association and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Furthermore, during his time at Pace University, he served as the secretary and treasurer of the Pi Gamma Mu Honor Society between 1987 and 1988. As a student of the institution, Mr. Balmann earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1988. Outside of his primary vocational interests, Mr. Balmann continues to participate in his community as a civic-minded citizen. In addition to donating scholarships to students in his community, he has volunteered as a Juvenile Conference Committee member in Mountainside, New Jersey, since 2014.
