168 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine FINANCE AND INSURANCE With nearly five decades of professional experience to his credit, David E. Armstrong is a proven expert in the insurance industry. Since 2005, he has operated as the vice president of both Commercial Insurance Associates and AXIS Track Report. The former company acts as a Top 100 property and casualty insurance broker specializing in risk management, while the latter serves as a general engineering consultancy. In all his professional endeavors, Mr. Armstrong specializes in business and insurance pertaining to the nationwide railroad construction industry, having worked as a track laborer for a private railroad contractor. Mr. Armstrong previously served as a bond writer for Aetna Casualty and Surety Company from 1973 to 1976 and as the vice president of Willis Corroon South from 1976 to 2005. Before beginning his vocational journey, he honorably served in the United States Marine Corps from 1965 to 1969, achieving the rank of sergeant prior to retiring. He subsequently pursued a formal education, receiving a BBA at Delta State University and, later, a second BBA in marketing and finance at the University of Memphis in 1975. Mr. Armstrong also holds an MBA from the University of Tennessee. As part of his dedication to his professional endeavors, Mr. Armstrong remains affiliated with several industry-related organizations, including the National Railroad Construction and Maintenance Association, Inc., the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association, and the Construction Financial Management Association. To commemorate his accomplishments, he was named Member of the Year of his company in 2005, and he was honored with a Medal of Honor and a Vietnam Service Medal. Attributing much of his success to his focus and passion, Mr. Armstrong is especially proud to have played an instrumental role in further establishing AXIS Track Report as a prominent company in the field.
