O’Sullivan Jr. served in the U.S. Air Force for over three decades, retiring with the rank of colonel, followed by a 20-year career in K-12 education administration. In the Air Force, Col. O’Sullivan contributed to advancements in the command, control, communications and computer systems. He began his career in Strategic Air Command, flying on the airborne command post, followed by one year in Vietnam. Later, Col. O’Sullivan held five leadership positions, including that of the J6 in Pacific Command. He contributed to the scud missile detection system in the First Gulf War, later overseeing satellite systems during the development of Global Positioning Systems and to early concepts related to cybersecurity. Col. O’Sullivan was a superintendent of school systems in Georgia and Minnesota after serving as an executive director in North Carolina and a deputy superintendent in New York. He is a sought-after education consultant with expertise in educational administration. His interest in cybersecurity has led him to currently serve as a mentor for the Air Force Association CyberPatriot program. He holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Indiana University, an MBA from Western New England University and graduated from the National War College. COLONEL (RETIRED) United States Air Force Jacksonville, FL Kenneth O. Preston has cultivated a career of excellence in military service with nearly 50 years of professional experience to his credit. From 1975 to 2011, he honorably served in the United States Army, achieving the rank of Sergeant Major of the Army prior to retiring. During his time in military service, Mr. Preston demonstrated his leadership skills as a Command Sergeant Major of several military units, including the 3rd “Greywolf” Brigade of the 1st Cavalry Division and the Combined Joint Task Force 7 and V Corps. Since retiring, Mr. Preston has operated within the Association of the United States Army (AUSA), a nonprofit organization that tirelessly supports the Army and its soldiers. Having originally joined as a director and vice president of NCO and soldier programs from 2013 to 2019, he currently serves as a senior fellow. During his service, Mr. Preston pursued a formal education at Trident University International, earning a BSBA in 2007 and an MBA in 2009. Wellregarded for his practiced expertise, he was honored with the George C. Marshall Award from the AUSA.
