Attributing much of his success to his focus, determination and resilience, Mr. Eade has always endeavored to teach his students to have fun and not be discouraged in the face of adversity. In accounting for his accomplishments, he is also grateful to have discovered the game of chess while he was coming of age, as it served as an intergeneration tool for him, opening doors and allowing him to meet new like-minded individuals. In light of his achievements, Mr. Eade is particularly proud to have organized the 1995 Pan Pacific International Chess Tournament, which would become known as one of the most prestigious chess tournaments in the history of San Francisco, California. Youth Foundation, and he is a former chairman of the chess advisory board at The University of Texas at Dallas. Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Eade pursued a formal education. He began his studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in history in 1978. Continuing his collegiate career at the University of San Francisco, Mr. Eade achieved a Master of Arts in human resource management and organization development in 1991. To commemorate his accomplishments, Mr. Eade has been honored with numerous accolades over the course of his career. To this end, he was recently honored with a Chess Journalist of America Award from the Chess Journalists of America in 2022. Additionally, he received the Outstanding Career Achievement
