He currently serves as a Cirrus jet instructor pilot and check airman for Cirrus Aircraft, a leading global aircraft manufacturer and flight training company. He previously operated as an adjunct professor of geology and meteorology at Central Texas College for two years. Mr. Hicks originally began his vocational journey by honorably serving in the United States Navy for 10 years, beginning as a combat engineer reservist for two years and subsequently becoming a pilot. Outside of his primary vocation, Mr. Hicks remains committed to civic advocacy, participating with Lady Freethinker and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. In his academic pursuits, he pursued a formal education, earning a bachelor’s degree in entrepreneurship at Florida State University and a master’s degree in geology and geoscience at Mississippi State University. Additionally, he holds several industryrelated certifications, including as a flight instructor and airline transport pilot. Attributing much of his success to his tenacity and drive, Mr. Hicks is especially proud of his time serving in the United States Navy. Roger Trail cultivated a prosperous and fulfilling career in the field of public safety. Prior to retiring in 2014, he served as a supervisor at Raleigh County Memorial Airport in West Virginia, where he was employed by the Department of Homeland Security, having originally joined the organization in 2002. Mr. Trail also previously worked as the lead investigator for the National Association of Securities Dealers in Los Angeles, California. Prior to beginning his career, Mr. Trail pursued a formal education at Marshall University, where he achieved a Bachelor of Science in business management, accounting and economics in 1968. Wellregarded for his professional and academic achievements, he was named a West Virginia History Hero by the West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture and History. Mr. Trail largely attributed his success to his dedicated work ethic and willingness to learn. Additionally, in accounting for his accomplishments, he was particularly proud to have drawn the master plans for his local history museum, which was later fully constructed using tempered glass thanks to Mr. Trail’s financial devotion and help from various other donations.
