Ponquinette has since accrued nearly 15 years of professional experience in the field. While tending to his undergraduate studies at Hampton University, he was encouraged to enter the field of dentistry by a friend. Dr. Ponquinette subsequently earned a Bachelor of Science in biology at the academic institution and completed a preceptorship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Later on, he organized his own preceptorship with a root canal specialist, oral surgeon, orthodontist and general dentist, ultimately receiving a DMD from the University of Pennsylvania in 2004. Most recently, Dr. Ponquinette earned an NMD from the American College of Integrative Medicine and Dentistry in 2016. Board certified since 2010, Dr. Ponquinette has excelled as an oral surgeon at the Atlantic Oral Surgery Center in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, since 2016. Earlier in his career, he also worked in the same capacity for Eastern Dental of New Jersey between 2009 and 2014 and completed his residency at the Montefiore Medical Center in 2008. Among the many highlights of his career, Dr. Ponquinette is particularly proud of maintaining an astute, distinct level of performance in his industry, while also enjoying the diverse challenges that the field of dentistry has provided. Notably, he thoroughly enjoys improving his patients’ ability to live their lives free of dental complications. To remain abreast of developments in his field, Dr. Ponquinette is a member of numerous organizations, such as the American and New Jersey Associations of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, the New Jersey Board of Anesthesia, the American and New Jersey Dental Associations, and the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology. He attributes much of his success to his fearless nature. Looking toward the future, Dr. Ponquinette intends to continue advancing in his field, managing his patients on a preoperative basis and, eventually, venture into the field of biologic dentistry.
