WERTHEIM, MD Dr. Raymond B. Wertheim leverages five decades of professional experience as a proven leader in the health care industry. He joined the Hamakua-Kohala Health Clinic in Honokaa, Hawaii, in 2022 as a consulting psychiatrist, specializing in adult, adolescent and child psychiatry. Though he was previously retired from fulltime work, he maintained his own private practice from 1999 to 2020. Dr. Wertheim originally began his career as an attending pediatrician at the Riddle Memorial Hospital between 1974 and 1975. Since that time, he has worked with various professional organizations and academic institutions. As part of his vocational journey, Dr. Wertheim pursued a formal education, ultimately achieving an MD at Temple University in 1969. Likewise, he completed several residency programs in psychiatry before beginning his professional career. Board-certified in adult psychiatry and certified as a master practitioner of neurolinguistic programming, he has offered his expertise in numerous presentations. To commemorate his accomplishments, Dr. Wertheim was named a Top Doctor in Alexandria, Virginia, in 2017 and honored as a distinguished life fellow of the American Psychiatric Association in 2012. Shannah Whitney leverages more than 30 years of professional experience as an expert in the field of therapy. Specializing in psychotherapy and client counseling, she founded Waymakers Transformational Services in 1991, where she continues to serve as the chief executive officer, executive director and owner. Operating in New York and New Jersey, Ms. Whitney’s business is well-regarded for providing a variety of therapeutic counseling services to clients of all ages, including for behavioral issues, relationship management and parenting, among other services. As part of her vocational journey, Ms. Whitney pursued a formal education, ultimately earning a master’s degree in clinical psychology at the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University in 1993. In addition to her academic credentials, she holds several licenses as a mental health counselor. Ever dedicated to her profession, she also remains active as a member of the New York Mental Health Counselors Association.
