265 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine LAW AND LAW ENFORCEMENT With more than four decades of professional experience to his credit, Dale Harvill has cultivated an accomplished career in the field of law. Now retired, he previously served as the founding lawyer of the Law Offices of Dale Harvill in Houston, Texas, from 1964 to 2000. During his time in the field, he specialized in litigation law, having won 95% of his cases for his clients. Prior to beginning his professional career, Mr. Harvill honorably served in the United States Navy between 1961 and 1964. As part of his vocational journey, Mr. Harvill pursued a formal education, beginning at Texas A&M University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in agriculture in 1957. He subsequently continued his studies and achieved a JD at The University of Texas at Austin School of Law in 1964, where he was also the president of his class. In addition to his academic credentials, he is licensed to practice law by the State Bar of Texas. In addition to being a former board member of the Houston Bar Association, Mr. Harvill was also admitted before the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. In his charitable pursuits, he conducted a wealth of pro bono work throughout his career. Well-regarded for his scholarly output as well, Mr. Harvill authored a publication for the State Bar of Texas Journal titled “Venue in Texas: A New Approach to Venue Law.” Adjacent to his primary professional interests, Mr. Harvill is a former vice president of the Arabian Horse Association. To this end, he was previously named in the Top 10 in Canadian Horse Showing Competitions, and he won a National Award in Canada for Showing at the Western Pleasure Ranch. To commemorate his accomplishments in the field of law, Mr. Harvill maintained an AV Rating through Martindale-Hubbell for much of his career. Attributing much of his success to his humble roots, he is glad to be spending time in his retirement alongside his family, especially his grandchildren and wonderful wife of 46 years, Deborah.
