Having accrued a wealth of practiced expertise in several leadership roles throughout his career, he is well-regarded as a distinguished engineer at Verizon, having excelled with the renowned telecommunications company since 2003. As part of his duties within the business, Mr. Farkhondeh remains primarily involved in the research and development of new technologies. Over the course of his career, Mr. Farkhondeh has largely specialized in guiding and managing multicultural teams, both domestically and overseas. Likewise, he is well-versed in radio frequency engineering, utilizing his skills to accomplish his goals of working with wireless network technologies. Prior to his current appointment, he was the vice president of wireless networks at Peak XV Networks Private Limited. Similarly, he was the vice president of sales and operations at Convergelabs, Inc. In his other managerial roles, Mr. Farkhondeh was the chief operating officer of Fiberstreet, Inc. He also previously worked as the head of mobility networks at British Telecom. At the onset of his career, he joined Pacific Bell Mobile Services (now AT&T), working as a radio frequency (RF) manager until he became the director of RF engineering. Prior to departing from Pacific Bell, Mr. Farkhondeh was the vice president of network technology. As part of his work in the field, Mr. Farkhondeh received more than 15 patents. Chief among these, he holds U.S. Patent 9559965, for real-time traffic management for machine-to-machine communications; U.S. Patent 9253102, for timeweighted queuing scheduler for machine-tomachine communications; U.S. Patent 9100856, for routing architecture for content in a network; and U.S. Patent 8665881, for scheduling with quality of services, multiuser diversity gain and fairness in wireless networks.
