As a leader within the organization, Dr. Cooper primarily focuses on providing private lessons for customers and their pets. He notably excels in service dogs, champions, and handling problematic and aggressive dogs. Adjacent to his primary professional endeavors, Dr. Cooper has also excelled as a pet groomer with various dog daycare services since 2001. Furthermore, he served as a veterinary technician and assistant at a hospital in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, for over 20 years. As part of his dedication to his profession, he currently remains affiliated with the National Dog Trainer Association and the Association of Professional Dog Trainers. He also offers his time as a service dog trainer for veterans and individuals with distressed children. Dr. Cooper also boasts a career of military service, having honorably served in the United States Air Force from 1985 to 1989. He also pursued a formal education, ultimately achieving a PhD in animal science. Additionally, he holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. He is certified as an emergency medical technician (EMT) and in first aid for humans and dogs. Well-regarded for his accomplishments, Dr. Cooper was named the first Distinguished Honor Graduate for Duty and Performance by the U.S. Air Force Canine Academy, and he received a Lifesaving Award for his commendable efforts in the field. In light of his fulfilling career, he largely attributed his success to his diligence and the guidance of his family, particularly his parents. Likewise, in accounting for his achievements, he is proud to have helped so many individuals throughout his career. In the coming years, he hopes to engage the public with his book and more speaking opportunities. Dr. Cartrell Cooper leverages more than 40 years of professional experience as a proven expert in the field of pet and animal care. Since 1983, he has thrived as the owner and operator of Big D's Dog Training Co. in Princeton, Minnesota. Named after his dog, Dan LD Von Stinfield “Big D,” the company originally began DR.
