156 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ENTREPRENEURS Loren Breckenridge has distinguished himself as the chief executive officer of Cody Stone Jewelers. The business serves as a manufacturer and retailer of high-end jewelry hand-crafted from pieces of Cody Stone, sourced from the Santa Catalina Mountains outside of Tucson, Arizona. This unique and historically significant ore came from the gold mine of legendary Old West icon Buffalo Bill Cody. Most of this ore was crushed in the early 1900s to create gold and silver coins, so very little of it remains today. Mr. Breckenridge has worked tirelessly to fulfill the promise he made to preserve and share the history of the Cody Stone. By helping others achieve their dreams, he remains confident he will eventually realize his own goals and ambitions as well. Uniquely, Cody Stone contains gold, silver, copper and tungsten, the latter mineral being an important component used by Thomas Edison to manufacture the filaments of the first commercial light bulbs. The stone in Mr. Breckenridge’s care is being used to handcraft beautiful custom jewelry for discerning customers. Additionally, a piece of the stone, which has been valued at over $156,000, was donated to the Buffalo Bill Museum in Le Claire, Iowa.
