276 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine LAW AND LAW ENFORCEMENT Drawing upon nearly 30 years of experience, the Honorable Alessandra G. Greceanu is a proven leader in the field of law. Now retired, she previously served as an ad litem judge for the United Nations Dispute Tribunal in New York between 2012 and 2019. In her post-retirement years, she served as a senior fellow in the Advanced Leadership Initiative at Harvard University from 2020 to 2021. Likewise, she formerly served as a judge in the Bucharest Court of Appeals in Romania in 2012, having spent much of her earlier career as a tribunal judge in Romania. Over the course of her career, Ms. Greceanu has specialized in refugee, employment and European law. For her exceptional service, Ms. Greceanu received a plaque from the United Nations. To prepare for her career, she pursued an education at the University of Bucharest, receiving an LLB. Subsequently, she earned a master’s degree in refugee law from the University of Europe and an LLM in magistracy from the National Institute of Magistracy in Bucharest, Romania. Looking forward, Ms. Greceanu intends to continue working with diplomatic projects and create programs for international judges and prosecutors. Since 2005, he has served as a partner at Plews Shadley Racher & Braun LLP, based in Indianapolis, Indiana. He originally joined the firm in 1999 as a law clerk. Throughout his time in the field, Mr. Nelson has largely specialized in environmental, commercial and trademark litigation. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Nelson excelled as the owner of The Smiling Serpent, a specialty pet store for reptiles and amphibians in Bloomington, Indiana, between 1992 and 1994. As part of his vocational journey, he also pursued a formal education. As a student at Indiana University Bloomington, he achieved a Bachelor of Science in biology in 1992 and a JD in 1999. Well-regarded for his professional accomplishments, Mr. Nelson was honored among Indiana Super Lawyers for Environmental Litigation in 2014 and 2015. To wit, he is particularly proud to have handled many high-profile environmental cases throughout his career.
