50 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ARTS, MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT Possessing 55 years of experience, Sharon Gainsburg has cultivated a fulfilling career as a multitalented professional. Previously serving as a medical technician between 1962 and 1966, she has since excelled as a sculptor and teacher, specializing in clay and stone sculpting. Over the course of her career, Ms. Gainsburg has had her work featured in collections in the United States, Europe and South Africa. She currently continues to teach students at the Gainsburg Studio in Las Vegas, Nevada. Many of Ms. Gainsburg’s professional experiences throughout her career have been detailed in her autobiography, “Worldbridger: A Sculpted Life,” which was published in 2018. In accounting for her accomplishments, she is proud to have created an award for the National Foundation of Infectious Diseases. Because of her desire to help others reach their artistic potential, she has been teaching the workshop “The Artist Way” by Julia Cameron for the past 25 years. This life-changing experience has helped hundreds to overcome their fears and develop their abilities to tap into their God-given talents to paint, draw, sculpt, write, sing, act, direct, dance and play music. This has been a rewarding addition to her creative journey. SCULPTOR, TEACHER Gainsburg Studio Las Vegas, NV Specializing in photography and visual arts, Marie M. Martin has served as an appraiser at Marie Martin Fine Arts Services since 1989, where she offers appraisals for photographs; fair market value and insurance purposes and approvals for paintings; drawings; and prints for insurance purposes. Ms. Martin earned a BA in fashion design at Moore College of Art in 1972. Moving to New York, she worked for Vogue Magazine as a secretary, then assistant editor, for the fabrics department until 1978. She was hired by the Lunn Gallery in Washington, DC, first serving as a receptionist and later promoted to director. In 1978, she opened Martin Gallery in the Lunn Gallery space. Later. Ms. Martin consulted with Clairmont Press and the National Council on Aging on projects related to the arts. She became interested in appraising art, particularly photography for donation and insurance purposes and paintings, sculptures, prints and other media for solely insurance purposes. She is affiliated with the American Society of Appraisers. In accounting for her accomplishments, she attributes much of her success to the art of the photograph and enjoys working with galleries, museums, clients and the artists themselves.
