Specializing in computational mathematics and STEM educational systems, he has served as an associate professor of mathematics at Lawrence Technological University, where he primarily teaches mathematics to engineering students. Dr. Cartwright also remains active as a member of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics and the Mathematical Association of America. Prior to his current appointment, Dr. Cartwright excelled as a teaching assistant at the University of Iowa from 1996 to 2002. As a student of the institution as well, he achieved a PhD in computational sciences and applied mathematics in 2003. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics and music and a Master of Science in mathematics.
