Since 2011, she has excelled as a private licensed professional counselor in South Carolina, specializing in marriage and premarriage counseling and both individual and family mediation. Dr. Willingham notably offers aid to private behavioral health clinics and organizations focused on alcohol and drug misuse prevention programs. Dr. Willingham originally earned a BA at Benedict College in 1973. Subsequently, she achieved an MS in counseling at Webster University in 2000, followed by a doctorate in professional counseling at Mississippi College in 2017. Furthermore, she processes academic qualifications and professional certifications as a trained certified counselor and licensed addiction counselor. Today, Dr. Willingham’s practice encompasses all levels of mental health treatment, including community mental health centers, transitional treatments, forensics, pastoral care and mediation. She also serves on her local board for Health Education Consulting and coordinates health and wellness activities for the Columbia section of NCNW.
