Well-versed in corporate strategy and vision, she has served as the chief commercial officer of Vivodyne, a pharmaceutical research and development company, since 2022. Prior to her current appointment, she worked extensively with Albany Molecular Research Inc. (now Curia Global Inc.) in various developmental and leadership roles from 2011 to 2022. Before beginning her career, Dr. Billings-Mirabella pursued a formal education, ultimately achieving a PhD in organic chemistry at the University of California Irvine in 2007. As part of her dedication to her profession, Dr. Billings-Mirabella remains active as a committee task force member with the Drug Chemical and Associated Technologies Association. Well-regarded for her scholarly output, she authored the 2021 article, “Partnering with a CDMO for Orphan Drug Development,” published by Contract Pharma. Merrill has cultivated a fulfilling career as a meteorologist, leveraging over two decades of professional experience. Specializing in weather forecasting for network television, he recently became the chief meteorologist at WOAY-TV in 2023. The family-owned television station, based in Oak Hill, West Virginia, covers news and weather broadcasts for nine counties in the state. In his current position, Mr. Merrill provides live weather updates during evening newscasts, in addition to producing different weather and science segments as needed. Likewise, he also serves as a leader for the entire weather department. At the onset of his career, Mr. Merrill was a full-time overnight news producer and editor and a part-time meteorologist for WJAC-TV in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, from 2003 to 2005. Prior to embarking on his vocational journey, he pursued a formal education, studying at Pennsylvania Western University and achieving a Bachelor of Science in earth science and meteorology in 2002. In addition to his academic credentials, he currently holds a Seal of Approval from the National Weather Association.
