To this end, Ms. Braxton studied theology at the John Wesley Theological Seminary and completed coursework in social science and psychology at both Sojourner College and Bowie State University. She is also recognized as a pastor. As a testament to her success, Ms. Braxton was awarded an honorary humanitarian doctorate by the Global International Alliance in 2023. Among her many career highlights, however, she is especially proud of the success of her children, who are all internationally recognized performers. Her children include Toni, Michael, Traci, Towanda, Trina and Tamar. Looking toward the future, Ms. Braxton intends to continue helping, encouraging and empowering others. Drawing upon over 15 years of professional experience, Evelyn J. Braxton is a distinguished entrepreneur, philanthropist, life coach and author. Since 2008, she has excelled as the chief executive officer of Madaame, Inc., having previously lent her considerable expertise to the entertainment, publishing and nonprofit industries. Furthermore, earlier in her career, she served as a cosmetology educator and textured hair specialist, having created Ms. E’s Eyebrow Grower, her own beauty brand of naturally derived eyebrow serums and skincare products. Likewise, Ms. Braxton is an accomplished life coach and global speaker, leveraging her experiences in her life and career to promote messages of inspiration and constant selfimprovement. Demonstrating versatility in her profession, she is also the author of her own cookbook and memoir, titled “Cooking with Ms. E: A Book of Recipes and Family Memories.” In this regard, Ms. Braxton’s cookbook tells the story of her family’s history, memories and achievements, all while listing a selection of her mother’s traditional Southern and Gullah-Geechee recipes.
