211 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine HEALTH AND WELLNESS Marta Katarzyna Hess leverages over two decades of professional experience as a proven expert in the health care industry. Specializing in mental and behavioral health care, she recently joined Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey as a care manager and level three MLTSS field care specialist in 2022. As part of her duties with the assisted living organization, she provides a variety of care services that allow her patients to remain home, as opposed to staying at nursing homes or hospital facilities. Ms. Hess previously excelled as a PACT, IFSS and SEP program director for Acenda Integrated Health (Acenda, Inc.) in Sewell and Cape May, New Jersey, from 2017 to 2022. She also founded Newpoint Behavioral Health Care in 2016, where she served as the coordinator of the intensive family support services program until the company’s merge with Acenda, Inc. At the onset of her career, she served as a case manager for Community Treatment Solutions in Bridgeton, New Jersey, from 1999 to 2007. As part of her vocational journey, Ms. Hess pursued a formal education, ultimately achieving a Master of Arts in mental health counseling and applied psychology at Rowan University in 2009. She also continues to participate as a member of several pertinent organizations, including The International Society of Female Professionals. Furthermore, she continues to serve her community as a civic-minded citizen, regularly participating with her local triathlon club that raises funds for student scholarships. In light of her fulfilling career, Ms. Hess has largely attributed her success to her childhood experiences in her native home of Kalisz, Poland, which informed her curiosity and interest in the fields of behavioral science and mental health care. In accounting for her accomplishments, she is particularly proud to have promoted remote mental health care services during the COVID-19 pandemic. Ms. Hess is equally proud to have found success and break down barriers in her field as an immigrant to the United States.
