249 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine HOSPITALITY AND LEISURE With nearly two decades of professional experience to his credit, Lawrence R. McClane is a rising leader in the food service industry. Since 2022, he has served as the owner of the Starz Family Restaurant, based in Nashville, Arkansas. The local establishment is well-regarded for its delicious selection of breakfast and lunch menu items, including a bevy of comfort foods such as stacked hamburgers, crispy French fries and mountainous sandwiches. Prior to entering his leadership role, Mr. McClane worked for the business for 15 years. Having worked with the restaurant for many years already, Mr. McClane was proud to take on ownership from his former bosses, Mark and Jamie Dowdy. While the former entered retirement, the latter remained with the business to assist Mr. McClane in his new position. Since then, the business has continued to thrive under its new owner. In his current position, Mr. McClane oversees all daily operations, including kitchen setup and all formal paperwork and executive duties. To commemorate the occasion, Mr. McClane was featured in an article from Southwest Arkansas News (swarkansasnews.com), as part of Nashville News Leader. As part of his interview, he noted how he planned very few changes to the business, aside from possibly introducing new sandwiches to the menu. He also assured that he had no plans to change the name of the restaurant, which is known well among community members. In the coming years, however, Mr. McClane hopes to remodel and modernize the restaurant. In light of his fulfilling career, Mr. McClane has largely attributed his accomplishments to the quality of his food and the positive atmosphere of his restaurant. With a customer-focused attitude, all who enter the Starz Family Restaurant are treated like family, and this mindset has led to continued success for the business.
