102 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine EDUCATION Leveraging over five decades of professional experience, Stephen Heyde has cultivated a fulfilling career as an educator and musician. For much of his career, he served as a music professor at Baylor University until retiring from teaching in 2023. Since then, he has maintained the title of professor emeritus at the institution. Alongside his position as a professor, Mr. Heyde excelled as an orchestra conductor at the Waco Symphony Association Inc. from 1987 to 2023. Prior to beginning his career, Mr. Heyde pursued his own formal education, earning a bachelor’s degree in music education, with a concentration in violin, at Capital University in 1971. Shortly thereafter, he continued his studies at Carnegie Mellon University, where he achieved a master’s degree in music performance in 1976. Mr. Heyde has been honored with numerous accolades, most recently including a Cultural Leadership Citation from the Yale School of Music in 2022 and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the College Orchestra Directors Association in 2018. In light of his fulfilling career, he has largely attributed his success to his persistence and the support of his peers. Waco, TX Bolstered by over 25 years of experience, Pamella Rena Renee Johnson is a proven expert in the field of education. Since 2016, she has served as an academic and behavioral intervention specialist at Rochester High School in the state of Washington. In this role, she assists first-year students in navigating challenges that may hinder their academic progress. To this end, Ms. Johnson particularly specializes in communication skills and identifying community needs. She previously worked in the banking industry for 25 years. In pursuit of her own formal education, Ms. Johnson earned a bachelor’s degree in history at the University of Washington in 2011. Ever committed to her profession, she is a board member of the Washington Education Association (WEA) and National Education Association (NEA). Furthermore, she was appointed by Governor Jay Inslee as the board chair for the Paraeducator Board, which shapes policies and standards for educators, especially paraeducators. Wellregarded for her achievements, Ms. Johnson was honored by the WEA as the Education Support Professional of the Year for 2022-2023. Likewise, she was recently recognized by the NEA as the Education Support Professional of the Year for 2023-2024.
