Likewise, he is grateful to have played a pivotal role in the company’s acquisition of new property to begin manufacturing steel bar supports as opposed to purchasing them, until the company decided to successfully sell this side business in 2021. Mr. Maggitti has added his grandson, Kyle Hegarty, to the Vimco family business. Mr. Maggitti naturally gravitated toward a career in the construction industry from a young age, with his father having also previously worked for many years in the field. To wit, Mr. Maggitti used to drive his father’s truck, delivering sand and stone for contractors. They founded Vimco Inc. together in 1960. In light of his fulfilling career, he has largely attributed much of his success to his father, who served as a guide and mentor.
