Lawnside, NJ With more than six decades of professional experience to his credit, Dr. Joseph Stach has cultivated a career of excellence in the field of electrical and electronics engineering. Now retired from full-time work, he previously excelled as the senior vice president of Advanced Energy Industries Inc. from 1998 to 2003. During his time with the global energy systems design and manufacturing company, Dr. Stach specialized in semiconductor and electronics manufacturing, particularly pertaining to materials processing in the semiconductor chip industry. After exiting his leadership role at Advanced Energy, Dr. Stach held several upper management positions with other leading technology brands. Namely, from 2003 to 2013, he was an investor and board advisor for Princeton Power Systems in San Diego, California. Furthermore, from 2004 to 2018, he was the board director of the AVX Corporation in Fountain Inn, South Carolina. Similarly, from 2013 to 2018, Dr. Stach served as a board director for Reno Subsystems in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. Dr. Stach originally began his career in 1959, working as a summer intern with ITT Labs. He would later serve as an instructor at The Pennsylvania State University from 1963 to 1966. Continuing his time at the university, he would subsequently rise to a full-time teaching position as a professor from 1968 to 1983. In his other professional endeavors, Dr. Stach worked as an executive director for the Massachusetts Microelectronics Center from 1984 to 1987 and as a technical advisor for Zero Stage Capital in 1987. In his other noteworthy endeavors, Dr. Stach had the opportunity to consult for two leading corporations during his time in the field. First, he advised the Carborundum Company, a New York-based brand and worldwide leader in developing materials aimed at minimizing and eliminating defects in the manufacturing process of bipolar devices or chips. Additionally, he worked with Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Pennsylvania-based organization that sells gases and chemicals for industrial uses.
